Bronze for Bantam Rangers


The Parkland Junior Rangers attended Bantam AAA Provincials held in Killarney, MB Feb. 23–25.
The Rangers roster included three players from the Swan River Valley including forwards Trey Sauder and DJ Taylor-Luke along with defenceman Zach Boychuk.
Heading to Provincials after regular season play, the Rangers found themselves tied for second place in the rural division standings with the Yellowhead Chiefs.
In the Rangers opening game of round robin play, they came away with a convincing 10-5 win over the Central Plains Capitals. Sauder and Taylor-Luke each had a goal and assist in the game while Boychuk chipped in with a pair of assists.
In their second round robin game, the Rangers faced off against the Yellowhead Chiefs on Saturday morning. The Rangers came out on top of a tight 3-2 contest which placed them second in the overall standings after the round robin play.
